I have lived in Iowa my entire life and just recently moved to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area 2 years ago. I have been in the mortgage industry for 2 years. Before that, I was an independent financial trader. I attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, where I obtained my Associate’s degree in business. I was also lucky enough to be a starting member of the baseball team at Waldorf. I then went on to finish up my college education at the University of Northern Iowa. I am an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys playing golf, working out, riding bike, and spending time with friends. But my greatest enjoyment comes from spending time with my 3 children.
     I am committed to providing clients with the highest level of service and value. I look forward to working with each individual on a professional level and understanding their unique situation. By taking that situation and finding the best possible scenario for them gives me the ultimate satisfaction. I have dealt with a lot of wonderful people along the way and I certainly expect to stay in touch with them long after I have completed their individual loan process. I look forward to meeting new clients in the near future and I hope someday that client is “YOU.”

I am originally from Tripoli , a small town in northeast Iowa .  I have resided in Waterloo for the past twenty-five years with exception of a three year period.  I have worked in mortgage lending for the past thirteen years, as a processor.
     Outside of work I enjoy golfing, fishing and working around the house.  I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.  My wife, Sandy and I were overjoyed last year with the birth of our first grandchild, Logan.
     As a loan processor, it is my GOAL to make your process of purchasing or refinancing your home a most enjoyable experience.  I look forward to working with you!

Tom Schrage -

I am originally from a small town in northeast Iowa called Plainfield. I have lived in Waterloo, Iowa for the past five years. I graduated college from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls in 1991 majoring in Finance and minoring in German. I have been in the lending business for five years and prior to lending I was a financial planner and sold securities.
   Outside my work I enjoy traveling, working out, golfing , jet skiing, bowling downhill skiing and basically anything that involves sports. I have also coached elementary, junior high, and high school baseball, basketball and track for eight years. Spending time with my family and friends is very important to me too.
      I am committed to exceeding your expectations throughout the loan process and to provide you with the highest degree of customer service possible. My main goal is not just to satisfy my customers, my intention is to AMAZE them! I look forward to working with you and being your mortgage loan officer for life.

Sue Venem
I was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. I moved to Iowa at the tender age of 13 where I attended school in or near Waterloo. Upon graduation, I married and moved to California where my children were born. I returned to the small community of Jesup, Iowa, where I still live today. I attained an associate of applied science degree in marketing management and spent the next 16 years in newspaper and radio advertising. I then started working for a computer software company for about 7 years before taking a position as a mortgage loan officer. That was in 2002 and I have enjoyed assisting people with their mortgage loans ever since.
     In my spare time, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. We have three daughters, one son, one grandson, and two granddaughters along with our Golden Retriever. I love to entertain, cook, play cards, cross stitch, crochet, sew, watch professional football, hockey, college football, basketball, and go fishing.
     My professional goal is to ensure that you receive the best experience possible during the loan process. Each situation is unique and I will make sure that you receive the service you expect. Your satisfaction is always my top priority and I will concentrate on exceeding you expectations. I will provide you with the personalized attention and professionalism from the beginning of the loan process to its conclusion.
